Teams
Play other teams by rounds.
They have a team account on ICQ. They use this account to set up a
time and day to play the assigned round. A round is 2 games for Spades
and 3 games for Euchre. A deadline date is posted above each
round and usually they play 1 round a week. This varies because they
set up games in advance as all games are posted on this site in
advance so that the teams can schedule and play the current unfinished
round as well as the preceding round. They will watch the standings
page as updates are made regularly and when they see that the current
round is complete they can then move up a round. We do this because
sometimes people have problems and they can't make their games with
their opponents during the given time so they play the next team
ahead. this allows for smoother scheduling.
Even though you
are playing your opponents for the round you are really playing
everyone in the division. you get bonus points for each game played
plus you receive all your earned points for each game. (scoring is
laid out in detail on the rules link located in each division) This is
accumulated throughout the series. At the end of the series there will
be a 1st place winning team. The length of the series
depends on the number of teams. There is a 12 team limit per division
and unlimited number of divisions. You may join as many divisions as
you desire to play in. So long as you can make your games this
is
fine.

On our home page
you will see a link at the bottom that says Sign Up. You should
already have a pard in mind but not required to sign up. Keep in mind
that this is a club and not a tourney so you will want a pard you can
live with. Once you sign up you are considered signed up for life...or
until you decide you want out. We ask that in the event that you wish
to leave you either stay long enough to finish the series or find a
suitable replacement. At the very least give your pard some warning so
that your pard doesn't miss out on any action while finding a
replacement.

After you have
signed up and been accepted (which is easy) you will need to create a
team ICQ account. This is in addition to your already existing account
and is very simple to do. So why do you need this account. Well it
keeps us organized....you have a team name. Teams don't always know
who is playing on who's team and I don't give out personal ICQ numbers
without permission. You will use this account to contact your
opponents and to report scores. You will use this account to send note
any problems that you may be having and this allows us to make a
history for later verification. Your pard will have access to this
account as well so that in the event the captain cannot be reached for
what ever reason the team mate can take the reigns and run with it. Ok
you get the idea... great here is what your account has to have.
